Re-furbing my trim..

funnily enough, I've just spotted a thread on there that was brought up from a while ago on this topic.

Seems that all I need to do is wash the trim down, wipe it down with white spirit, then spray with vinyl paint :)

edit: I'm assuming to spray metal you just rub it down, then spray?

What metal are you painting? The inserts? I keyed mine with some fine grade Wet n Dry used wet. Then primed, and given a couple of coats of Toyota Super Red II. After that I gave it a few coats of lacquer because otherwise if you use black trim wax on the arches etc later it stains the red instead of wiping off easily.
