Re-imagined E-Type (Oi Mark get the tissues!)

It seems to take plenty of design influences from all sorts of cars from several eras though. The back, to me at least, is pure Corvette Stingray.

I love it though.

My point was more that Clarkey's statement was rather poor. A Nissan 240z looks similar to an E-Type, not the other way round. I say this because the E-Type came first.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but I never liked the E-Types - I always thought they were hideous and over-rated.

No flames, but...seriously? I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I just don't see how anyone can get to "hideous" from "E-Type"

Over-rated - different story. They were over-rated - the 150mph ones had all manner of tweaks to get them there, which the production ones didn't have. But even standard production line cars are still utterly epic to drive :)

Looks like an E type with styling from an Alfa spider and the rear end of the fat aunty of a Porsche. Nah. However,

Now that is a thing of beauty, its got a slight throw back to the original XJ coupe from the side, the curve of the back window and the look of it with the glass all down.

This.

was never a huge fan of the original e-type jag, but that is VERY nice.
only image I didnt like was the one of it red. That 2-tone was horrific.

I like that, very cool.
Much preferred to the XJ re-interpretation shown recently on Top Gear, which I thought was nothing special.

Uhh huuhhh so a remake of a Jaguar that was made before a Nissan looks like a Nissan.

How about the Nissan looks like the Jaguar and this remake looks like the Jaguar. ;)

As this guy said, most 70's Jap cars were visual ripoffs of successful western cars, the 240z stole a lot of its looks from the jag whereas others like the skyline stole its from a variety of US muscle cars (Barracuda and Mustang iirc)

This Jag concept = teh sex, much better than the "jaguar of the future" they showed on TG sunday.
