hi everyone.

Last night i manged to set up my 2 1tb samsung f3's in raid0. (with only the motherboards manual, i'm well chuffed:D).

Anyway, it's all running very well, but my mate has just rang me to say that i can have his 64gb ssd off him for £30 (he's a good mate)

My question is, as i have only just a few minutes ago installed windows 7 back on the the drives, is there a quick way that i can transfer the OS to my ssd?
or if not, can i just set in bios to boot from dvd, install w7 on to ssd, then delete the partition on my other drive with the OS on?

basically, what are the problems that i might encounter?

cheers.:)

I personally would prefer to install win 7 fresh on the SSD.

The method mentioned above is the way to do it.

Yep, once you have installed win7 on the SSD, connect the mechanical drives up, and double check the BIOS still has set the SSD as the boot drive.

Once in windows format the drive.

Remember to disconnect the mechanical drives before installing Windows onto the SSD. If you don't Windows will install some files onto them.
