Re-mapping a 206

A better intercooler, a better intercooler with better cooling capability and was bigger. What is not to understand, the car is intercooled as opposed to stock. First of all you state 150BHP is doable with a remap, all of a sudden you need a better FMIC and clutch. Make your mind up, what point are you trying to get at. All the remap does is take advantage of the mods, not unlock power that isn't there.

the turbo on a 1.4 diesel is good for 200bhp? pull the other one haha

We've now started talking about the 1.9 HDI for some reason.

To answer MrLol, no as standard they have no intercooler at all just a cold air feed.

If you actually look back at my post I said 125 and 155 are doable, Then in the next post to clear up I have mentioned that you need a fmic/clutch for the latter.

I dont understand how your intercooler is better? if they come without one obviously its going to be an improvement, if your talking about the car in question on the map having a better intercooler you have nothing to compare it too.

Theres also no 1.9 HDI, i just simply stated that the 1.9td had been detuned and my guess is that for economy reasons so had the 2.0 HDI thus why 110 on a standard map was from the xsara.

I really dont want to get deep into this arguement but im afraid walker if right about most things he's said.

A few people have got 150bhp+ with just a remap, intercooler and clutch. If dont get the uprated clutch you can't go over 130bhp. Although last time I checked the person who remaps the pugs (JAC mech, Dave) charges around £200 for the map.

somebody hijacked this thread about 1.4 peugeots and turned it into a thread about how they can get 60bhp extra from their 90bhp 1.9 diesel engine.

which of course everybody had something to say about.

We know he's right, he's just being argumentative for no apparent reason.

Janesy you argue on every thread, i was waiting to be saved, thanks for the input Rainman, Mr Whippy ( Dave ) Charges around 95-100 for a remap and for a inspection/fitment/checks/few hours spent making sure the map is right for your car around 140.

Theres no 1.9 diesel engine involved in this discussion apart from references to it being detuned.

No I don't. I argue when people make claims that a £95 remap can increase power by 50% when in fact you need to spend a lot more money to get that figure.

I think the point people are arguing is you said you could go from 90 - 150bhp with just a remap, this turns out not to be true you need other mods as well, thats like saying i can go from 150bhp to 230bhp with just a remap, this isn't true i had to change the turbo as well :)

i refer to what i said before

2.0 HDI Not just from a remap, with an added FMIC, uprated clutch.

125 can be seen without any mods bar the remap itself, and maybe 130 with decat/panel filter

In that case if your running 230 your sig needs updating.

Does it use a gt15 Turbo?

Not to sure Firestar, I wouldnt like to comment, obviously the turbo is up for it but the rest of the car would have to follow suit.

EDIT Yep GT15 it is.

GT15 supports up to approx. 220 HP Not sure what that that equates too, the next size up GT17 will do a little more.
