Re-Tagging lots of files at once?

Howzit Guys,

I am trying to sort out my videos and pictures. I have Vista Ultimate and I have used the Photo Galary. Which is cool, however I see I can name photos I have taken with my cell phone or digi cam just fine. However I can't re-tage any pictures that have been downloaded from the Internet. I can, if I do them one by one.

But when you have 2000+ pictures in one folder and you want them all to have the same tag...not going to happen! :eek:

So if there any easier way of doing this, without doing it one by one?

How do you mean...I don't want to move the files. I want to change their tag infomation.

well i presume they are all in the same folder? in the gallery, use the browser on the bottom left to browse to said folder, select all the files and drag them onto one of your tags in the top left. easy.

Second question; How do I delete a tag from the left hand pane from the Photo Gallery without deleting photos from the computer?

um, you delete the tag?

it just asks you are you sure you want to remove the tag from all photos/videos. the files themseleves are of course left intact....

Oh, I thought it removed the files from the computer when it asked me that. Sorry a real blonde day today!
