How often do you feel you can re-watch the same film per year? I've just been thinking about it and as a projectionist I now can't watch some films because they just do my head in. These are good films too like Rear Window and others. So yeah, how many views does it take you to get so sick of a film you quite enjoy.

BTW. I've now seen Rear Window 15 times in the last 2 years for a point of reference to me and am just about to go show it again :o

We have quite a lot of movies and tv series on dvd, so there's always plenty of choice. I used to watch the same movies repeatedly when I was younger and didn't have as big a selection, but now that I have them I'd rather watch something different. I doubt I watch the same film twice in a year, if that.

Really? That film? I found it hard enough getting through it the once. I'm glad we don't show too many new films where I work as most of them are complete drivel. I did have to put up with both Charlies Angels films though. That was a rough two weeks.

It is a hard question, especially when time is limited (kids) - do I watch a film I know I will really enjoy for the umteenth time or do I risk it and watch something new?

At the moment with Tesco DVD rental I am going for some films I never whould have watched previously and really enjoying it, so at the moment I would vote for watching a new film every time.

depends, funny ones and light hearted ones i can watch over and over. They may not be critically acclaimed or have any Oscars but the reason i like it its because i don'tt have to engage any brain cells while watching it. Films that are serious but good are much hard to rewatch, such as the Godfather. I saw that about 5 years ago and not seen it again, and in that time i must have seen American Pie about 5 times.

I've seen each Die Hard at least ten times in the last year. They still don't get boring.
Over the past five years I must've watched each Indy film at least twenty times. They're getting a bit dull, tho'.

I must watch Aliens................ far too much to be healthy.

Along with the Matrix, Gladiator and Return of the Jedi.

I must have seen Gone In 60 Seconds a good 50-60 times now.

I have no idea why I like the film so much, and I'll admit its hardly the greatest piece of film ever created, but it gets me feeling good.

films i watch a lot..

predator (my #1 film of all time)
tremors (full of cool tag lines :))
con air -there's something about it that makes it watchable, i dont own this, but i always watch it on sky etc.. but the end makes no sense what so ever, when 'the virus' falls off the fire engine, there's a road underneath him, yet he lands in some steel works or something in the middle of vegas! :p

my mrs always watches 'the burbs' -classic film

I can watch films over and over. Atm, i am goin through a clerks 2 phase. I must have watched that movie about 9 times in the past 3 weeks

Certain films I re-watch a lot...

Hot Shots
Top Gun
Chasing Amy
Mallrats

And with TV DVDs especially I do this, I watch random episodes of Family Guy a lot.

Me and my girlfriend are on a continual loop of Scrubs DVDs. we just watch the entire lot through over and over...

Once I've seen a film then that's it , I know what happens so why would I want to watch it again
