Reacher - Amazon TV series 2022

Good final episode but overall I was mostly bored throughout the season. It doesn't feel the same as S1 at all.

Finlay and Roscoe were really good characters, it's a shame. I enjoyed season 2 and 3 though, although not as much.

The fight with Paulie was fun haha.

I think like others, not as good as S1, but maybe a touch ahead of S2. The fight with Paulie was pretty good, but I felt the story just wasn't on par with the book, but maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

Enjoyed the ending. Better than Season 2. Roll on Season 4.

I'm even considering reading the books. It's not so deep that I would care if they were a bit different from the TV series storylines, I think.

If you enjoy the TV Series, I do think you'll enjoy the books. The books are easy reading and involving. Some are better than others.

The TV characters and storylines have been fairly true to the originals, as have the Tom Cruise movies. Tom Cruise is just not physically large enough to be Jack Reacher though.

i found this too, maybe s1 was just fresh? but i feel a bit fatigued with this (but then i do with a lot of tv series that have multi arc) i think this would have been better as 4 hour show tbh, then do 2 series back to back

Decent end to s3, some of the water CGI looked cheap at times.

S1 still my favourite so far.

Actually, I think this was a major part of why season 1 worked, those two were really strong supporting characters. The gal in season 3 is "ok", but nothing compared to Roscoe.

Better than S2, not a patch on S1 though. The bad guys just didn't work for me at all, I'm amazed they lasted as long as they did as given how amateur they appeared, Duffy got more annoying as the season went, constantly banging on about her CI...with some very cringe interaction between her and Reacher.

I wasn't a fan of the Paulie fight. Reacher has never been one to fight clean, he's all about effectiveness, no matter how that might be seen. He wouldn't be wading in with punches, and he loved kicks too. It just seemed drawn out for effect. I don't remember what happened in the book though.

I dunno, they way he killed Paulie wasn't all that clean? As I think about it, I don't think they used Paulie enough to make it a big deal. I think in the book the kids mother was alive and Paulie was harassing her (maybe even raping her, I can't remember now) and it gave more motivation. I think the fight was quite different in the book too. I feel it happened more organically than 'we can't shoot him because people will hear', shortly later, the biggest gun on the East Coast is used to try and shoot him...

Watched four parts last night. Very viewable, better than S2 and looking forward to the rest tonight.

Better than 2, not as good as 1...

But think that's already been covered..

Are we just getting used to Reacher, Reachering though and the hypes starting to die off?
