I was going to get a PC ready built on here tell me what you think. Initially I was told was ready to ship but when I got to payment said it was on pre order so not ready.

I usually play RTS games on a 1440 Monitor I have.

Also would it be possible to upgrade this PC if I wanted to.

OCUK use standard parts in their PCs, so it should be no problem to upgrade.

I don't think you're likely to need to though, since that combination is well balanced and will last for 3-5+ years at 1440p, assuming reasonable expectations for settings/details.

I'd probably check which power supply they use as a lot of system builders put in units that are merely adequate, you may be able to ask them if they can upgrade that for you. I think they like to use Kolink power supplies and those aren't the best.

And if they can't, you can do it yourself if ever you have an issue with the unit supplied.

Many thanks for all the help I ordered a 5090 build more than I need but will be ok for a few years, just have to decide on a good Monitor or even a 4k TV.
well I use a 42in lg C4/C5 combo. C5 is definiteley brighter than the C4...noticeably, so I'd pay up if going down that route.

However it's 144hz, which is great as I have a 9070XT and play more single player games so high refresh rate not really going to be a problem for me.

You on the other hand have a 5090...depends on the game though, but if doing 1st person shooters, you may be generating well over 200+fps.. if that's the case I'd look ar the new 360hz dual tandem glossy oled screens (the glossy really makes the blacks pop and highlights the contrast). matt finish diffuses the light so can make it more grey looking unless playing in the dark, though does vary on type of finish applied. QD oled will give a pinkish hue in light also

you need to decide on size of screen, aspect and resolution 1st. Also sitting at a desk or armchair gaming? Also where's it going...lots of light sources, windows etc...that might determine glossy or matt etc

yup, what I've got...also used the 48", as a single screen took a bit of getting used to. I had to sit back a bit but you do get immersed in the game with such a big screen fairly close to you. ...anyway...42" c5 is £712 at ritcher sounds. Where I got mine. It has a 144hz mode. But a tandem oled will be a lot brighter as used dual oled display, and of course much higher refresh rate

if you go tandem oled, you want a 4th gen model, so the most recent. much better than 3rd gen and cheaper also
