Ready or not (VR mod)

Keep meaning to try this with UEVR but may wait for a dedicated mod like this as it will be probably be better etc

Tried the UEVR mod the other day and it's ok so I can see the potential. UEVR mods just annoy me for some reason though and half the time they don't work properly if at all, so I'm going to wait for this proper VRO mod.

I had high hopes for UEVR, but even on a top spec machine the games run so poorly, the experience is janky and on top of that it's so fiddly to setup. It really needs an integrated launcher with profiles.

More erm whelkage here -

I have thought for a long time now that this needs to be the future of vr games, at least for the medium term... not AAA VR only games that you HAVE to own a headset to buy, but instead having well thought out VR options in standard games,

I know the above is a mod but doing it officially has to be cheaper than making a vr game from scratch and I dunno about you but for me that above looks perfectly acceptable as a vr game.

even if it was a paid expansion, so long as they didn't take the .... I would be ok with it

Totally agree. I wish developers would add official VR support to existing games. Mods are doing a great job, there are some fantastic ones, but to be honest I would pay for an officially supported VR DLC for many games that enabled properly designed and implemented VR motion controls.

Anyone tried this yet? I'm giving it a go now. Not easy to get working but managed to eventually (if anyone has issues hit me up, might have a fix)

Performance however seems to be......... awful. I'm running a 5090 and a v good system - and I think it's actually way worse than the UEVR mod!

Need to test properly but if this is true then that's really bad news. UEVR is notoriously hard to run and I was hoping this mod would bypass those issues and perform way better.
