Hi,
Got a shiny new Netgear ReadyNAS just to do daily backups.
All firmware is upto date, shares on my workstation are ok (WinXp SP3).
But I simply cannot get the NAS to connect to a local share to backup!
I see that lots of other people have this problem, mainly on Win7 machines.
I can get it to connect to the share in test eg //workstation/workstuff but it always complains it can't connect.
Reason for failure:
Unable to access remote path //192.168.0.9/workstuff.
I have tried both IP, and host name. All combinations of slashes and character escaping.
Anyone else have one of these and gotten into the same problem?
It works fine manually copying over files.
Ta.
