I thought it was a Lego toy gun at a glance! (which is precisely the problem i guess)

Admittedly i did too. Until reading further it became apparent that it was actually real.

Just goes to show you the idiots they have working there. Even removing the irresponsible side of things, how they thought they'd get away with a Lego design without Lego suing them for copyright infringement is just a *faceplam* moment.
