Struggled with a title there :p

But yes in this thread you will see real time pics as the overhaul progresses as I build through the night. I will start tomorrow night with delivery in the morning and hope to finish Saturday afternoon and if all is well additional purchases will be made to silence the build and tidy it up. Just some information to start off with on my current system and desk layout...

AMD 4400+
EVGA 8800GTS
Corsair 2GB 3200LL PRO
Crucial C300
Enermax Noisetaker 600W
Lian Li A70B

Next up will be pics of the new components! <20 fps gaming is over...finally :D

If there's a delay in pics, I'm in trouble and you will probably see me post for help in the other forum sections :p

Gutted on the scratch there, filing getting a whole new side panel and/or 'colouring it in' check out the cost of a full anodizing of the entire case.. may ver well be cheaper than shipping in a new side panel..

Also, where abouts on the panel is it? worth turning the panel nto a window to remove the scratch? did that to an old v1000 once, big scratch in the middle of the panel, cut a window, et voilla!

Thanks for the suggestions guys :) It's on the right side as you're looking at the case so window option is out. The vinyl wrap I considered but the current finish I like more so will just have to fill it in with marker. It shouldn't be too noticeable but it's bugging me knowing it's there and with anodising/respray I'm concerned I won't get the same finish so will probably just buy from abroad. Components have arrived!...

Hope the mods don't mind me moving to 1000px wide...

Holy crap the smell while it was in the anti static bag. Just as satisfying as petrol...:D

I chose the UP5 because I've read Gigabyte's customer service/RMA is super and it's a feature packed board. I didn't go as far as the UP7 as I felt it was overkill for my needs especially when I'm only running single GPU and 1920x1080.

Few more sniffs of the motherboard first and then I'll move on...:p

Oh...forgot to mention...Haribos! Thanks to the man who packed my parcel

I experienced new motherboard smell for the first time today. I couldn't resist but open and have a look!

It's looking good so far, that's a nice motherboard you've got there :)

Looking forward to reading your build :)

Memory installed..

I chose this memory as it's a good overclocker and it's low profile for the D14 cooler.

Time to clean out the case...

Case cleaned. Using NF-P12s at the moment but may buy NF-S12Bs for an even quieter PC...

Chose the D14 because it's quiet and performs well too.
