Hi,
Have o/c my q6600 to 3.0 (guarranteed safe limit). Think I made need to try to push it higher re : fallout 3.
So far all I've changed is 266 to 333, the multiplier is already on 9.
If I push it too high will it just reset or blowup in my face ? :)

Nope, it may fail to boot or you might get BSOD during windows loading screen.
Up the cpu by 200mhz boot the pc and run prime and check temps, personaly keep under 70c.
Keep doing this until your happy or temps get too high or fails to boot.

Remember to check your memory speed and cpu voltage.

Yeah, you should be happy with 3.4GHz on air, anything above is a bonus. Added another two 1GB RAM modules and had to reduce mine down to 3.35 from 3.5GHz.
