No, but virtually all the history of access on my Netflix and Microsoft accounts was in Iran. The ones that wear roller skates, or the ones that don't?
Did you use the GUI to track the IP?

I’m ignorant? Pot meet kettle, kettle meet potYou might not have done, hence me saying or other people. Your ignorance and incompetence has cost businesses money, and as I said, perpetuated this kind of crime as profitable.
Nope, never needed one. I can sort nearly all technical issues, I’m just a bit unsure and naive around internet security.Out of interest, have you had a remote support session at any time?
All passwords have been changed to unique ones, and stored in the Bitdefender wallet, and I have had a new debit card issued.Fair enough.
Formatting was the right thing either way. I echo what a lot have said, change passwords for everything to something new (using a password manager if needs be) be, would go down the bank route too if you haven't already.
Yes, there was only a few sites they was used on, so I changed them.Cool.
Silly question but I'm guessing any memorable words, etc etc have also been changed.
No probs. Water under the bridge.Probably, sorry if I took it too far Rob. Good luck with the fresh wipe.
Righto, thanks for that. You don't. At least to an acceptable understanding of what users on a PC forum would be expected to have.
It probably goes without saying, but since you've found 1 application you don't remember using previously. Have you since formatted and reset all your passwords including BitDefenders master key?
I think you're relating your own knowledge here and assuming the majority are the same as you. Many of us here have a good understanding of these things and/or university level qualifications in IT.
A website referring to it as a hack doesn't make it a hack security is compromised in many ways and they aren't all "hacks". It's a general term media uses for shock and ignorance.
That's the thing dude, whilst you can format a PC your understanding around basic security seems to be quite poor.
