Hi all.

I've just decided to test my SSD drive that I brought from OcUK in September last year. The drive is an OCZ Vertex 2 60GB version. Using the 64-bit version of CrystalDiskMark I got these results:

I've got the latest chipset drivers too. My motherboard is the Asus maximus extreme 3 edition. Could my SSD drive be on its way out? Its only 12 months old, and contains mainly my OS, my other drive contains my Steam games etc.

Here's what it should be:

- Maximum Read: 285MB/sec
- Maximum Write: 275MB/sec
- Sustained Write: 250MB/sec

I'm getting no where near that. Could someone please help me? I dunno if I should RMA this. This is the first time I've benched my SSD drive too.

Thanks.

You need to use Atto rather than Crystal to get an accurate view on OCZ drives.

Cheers bud.

I noticed that my sata was configure as IDE mode within my BIOS. I enabled AHCI, but I was getting BSOD. I cam across this:

To enable AHCI after an installation of Win 7. My score (using the same benchmark) went upto 200.

I've just used ATTO and its reporting the correct speeds. 10 months I've been using my SSD at these speeds.lol.

Ohhh welll. Live and learn.

Thanks.
