Really naff PC

So, I'm currently lodged at the pub I work in, covering the manager's holiday.
He's taken his fairly decent laptop though, leaving me his girlfriend's PC to mess about on.

It's a Dell Celeron 3.2gig, with 512MB of RAM and a 80GB hard drive.
And the smallest monitor I've ever seen.
And it's NEVER had any form of maintenance in its life.
I'm doing my best to sort it out, but I think it's still gonna be pretty terrible when I finish...

Coming from a fast rig down to this really sucks.
Only 9 more days... :rolleyes:

Sorry macca, tbh reading it back it was a bit, umm, poor.
Trying to emphasise the sheer desperation of being lumbered with a total shed that takes the thick end of ten minutes to get to a useable desktop, and can't even manage iPlayer or any game.
It had no pagefile set, runs WinXP which is missing a lot of updates, 2.8GB of junk files, 1336 registry errors, 13,000-odd fragmented files, and so on.

If it didn't belong to someone else, I'd probably have smashed it with the cellar mallet by now. :mad:

About three-quarters full, yeah. No idea what most of them are- think several programs have been installed to the desktop, so it's a right mess.
