Really Need Some Help!!

Hey guys, gonna cut to the point :P

Previously our house had 5 pcs....Now my dads GF moved in and she has 3 kids, i was set the task to build three. Which of course i did (gotpayed which helped), now this is where the problem is. All 3 work completely fine... but on one of them i couldnt :

1) activate windows using the internet
2) play online games (tried the sims)
3) use any kind of msn messenger

Now the interent works fine, i can recieve windows updates etc....

Im completely clueless in what it could be. Any ideas? Im on 10mb NTL.

What is the specification of the system, it might have a bearing on the problem? Are all 3 systems exactly the same? If so have you checked that you haven't blocked any ports on one by accident and checked that all settings are the same on all 3?

Checked all systems and all the same, i reformatted the system and nothing still :(. No firewalls, and i did try it with disableing windows firewall.

Could it to be to do with the amount of users on the network?

Blocked a port? i wouldnt know how to do that bud?. Can it be done easily by mistake?

Not usually although you can set it up to do so in Windows Firewall I believe(I don't run a firewall so I don't know for certain).

Are you connecting to the network wirelessly or as a wired network connection? Have you tried only using that computer on the network alone?
 
using cat5 and no i havent although i cant seem to think that would cause a problem. i have an 8 port lynsis router and 2 of the pcs run from a switch. 1 of the pcs works on the switch and the other dosent.
