Really odd problem accessing a web site. Help please

I have subscribed as a paying member of a US amateur radio site. It's www.eham.net I can log in with my user name, which is my call sign 2E0ILY (two, echo, zero, oscar, India, yankee) and can enter my password and I am logged into the main site just fine. On the left hand menu is the Forums one. I click on that and enter the forums, but my status is now anonymous, and as such I cannot post or do some other things. If I go to log in again from the RH top of the forums page, I can do so, but I am taken back to the main page, where my status is correct, logged in as 2E0ILY Try again to go to the forums, same thing happens, logged in as anonymous, no posting rights... I contacted their web master, who suggested it was a cookies issue. I deleted all eham.net cookies, to no avail, same thing happens. Tried logging in with a virgin copy of IE8, instead of my browser of choice, Firefox, same thing. tried form another PC that wasn't even mine, same thing. Web master has abandoned me. If I hadn't paid my fees I'd shrug and move along, but it's a good and specialised site, I have paid my subscription, and I want to post in the forums. Can anyone help at all? I maybe could change my password and let someone else try and log in to the forums, and then change it again later? Trusting fellow that I am It's a PITA and it's now bugging the hell out of me. People on a completely separate (this) forum most likely won't be able to help.

Does it happen on other computers?

Yes, happens from my laptop and another desktop PC.

might not be an eham.net cookie for the forum, it might be using a different host for it but presenting it as one from there.

What about going to the forum first and logging in or is that not an option?

Tried that, it just takes me back to the main page, logged in OK, as soon as I try and go back to the forums I am anonymous again... Very odd, very frustrating. thanks for the idea though, appreciated.

You can trust me 100% with your password but a problem is that I wouldn't have a clue what to write as a test post.
So if you want to trust me, email the details here : [email protected] but tell me which thread to go in and what to post so I don't make you look foolish on your first post.
