Really slow network speed

Hello !

Im suffering really slow file transfer speed over my network, like 262 kb/sec.

Both my computer and server have 1.0 Gbps connections.

The switch is a Netgear GS105

Computer network card is a Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit adaptor I know not great but surley should get better speeds than that!

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Try disabling all firewalls see if that helps.

You can also try changing the NIC transfer modes, like 10mbps / sec (Full Duplex), 100mbps / sec (Half Duplex) etc etc...
