Hey all, its upgrade time and I am desperate to get my hands on an android phone! Was looking at the G1 and I really like it, not fussed about poor battery as I own an N95, plus looks dont bother me either as I am all about the functionality.
Only problem is, where I work it seems to be a bit of a tmobile / virgin black hole with no signal
My gf is 6 months pregnant so dont really want to be un-contactable.
I work in a 'trendy' design agency as head of web, and if I had to resort to buying an iPhone, all the apple fan boys and girls here would mock me forever so thats pretty much not an option (its a nice bit of kit but so much better out there). Anyone know if any android phones are out in the near future on o2 (my current network) or not locked to a single network?

as it happens i am a developer and will deffo be looking into making my own apps.
