Realtime, like no other (Cryengine2)

some of the balls just randomly disappear - there's a yellow one bouncing from left to right infront of a black car bumper just before you see the fire hydrant, just disappears. What's up with that?

Waiting for a certain member to come in saying a PhysX card can do it better and that the video is not particularly good. Though, I think we all know by now that a dedicated PPU is not needed.

Great demonstration, Cryengine 2 can really do some amazingly life-like visuals.

isn't that first one just one of the original cryengine trailers with a 2 photoshoped onto the first and last shots?

Probably but I'm guessing that the cryengine 2 could render it no problem so they are just demoing it as an example of what can be done.

I dont think he ventures outside of the vid card forum. :p

Sadly, when nvidia bought Ageia he jumped out a plane with nowt but 5 physX cards strapped to his back.

They couldn't save him before, and they didn't save him then :(

Apparently he did fall faster though.

But did his body bounce realistically on impact? Also were the fluid dynamics of the blood fappable?

“But did his body bounce realistically on impact”
The bounce was in slow motion so I survived due to less kinetic damage.

But did they cheat like last time? What specs where used? What if it was 20 CPU’s? What if it wasn’t true real time? Remember they posted a bunch of high physics Cryengine 1 videos which all turned out to by lies and not doable in the live game at playable FPS. Like the high end nuke video they posted in real-time which was really 0.5fps for everyone else.

What if this partly pre rendered and not real physics? It might be the same every time only you can spin the camera around. I really hope it’s true but I don’t trust them, not after last time. We need more info.

EDIT: One more question gameplay or effects physics? As if that’s effect physics its far less impressive. Gameplay physics on the other hand would be very impressive.
