Reapplying Thermal Paste

Been running my current set up for about 6 months without any problems at all,apart from a clean out every month,the temps are consistant. my Cpu is O/C d to 3.6ghz,how often do i need to reapply thermal paste?

Shouldn't really have to being honest, especially if it's MX-2 or MX-3 as they state on the packaging it has a 8 year durability.

this may be of interest, on youtube there is a guy called maxishine in australia, search him he is using a new type of thermal compound which isnt a paste but a sticky gel pad that u stick on to cpu.

apparently its better than thermal paste i was suprised.
