The games, mostly... it is a games console after all.
Much prefer the controllers.
It's still alive.

Another good point is most people I know have one, whereas I can only think of two people with a PS3 - better for multiplayer, borrowing games etc.

I didn't turn it into a fanboyfest as you put it, he said he loved everything about it so i questioned this. Everyone knows that the 360 is poorly manufactured/designed judging from the RRoD.

EDIT - If you look closely, bringerofdecay was making direct comparisons towards the PS3 with baiting remarks before i even said anything.

If you mean gaming on a "next gen" console, then of course it is.
If you mean gaming in HD then say that.
If you mean something else, please explain.

I'm pretty sure he means gaming on his next gen consoles, With everything that's offered, That includes HD and awesome next gen graphics
Reasons to like my PS3, as a piece of electronics its a tasty bit of kit, BD player, wifi, upgradeable HDD of your choice, quiet, excellent upscaling, media streaming and also the firmware updates to improve functionality. As a games console it has all this plus great games, free online gaming, and its functionality between it and my PSP. Its still in the early stages of its life and we have yet to see the big guns come out, then im sure the PS3 will come into its own even more.
Having videos shared on my PC to the PS3, then being able to watch them on my PSP hooked up to another TV in the house via component for my folks = awesome.
Shame component doesn't allow remote play to be full screen though, little border around the screen.

what the hell are you on? i am listing reasons for why i happy with my latest console purchase (which by the way is what this thread is about), its not a comparison to 360 (or wii) in case thats what you were thinking i was doing.
had i have bought a different console i would have also listed next gen gaming...
and as you said "of course its a next gen console", well yes of course it is and thats why i am happy with it, the last consoles i bought were ps2 and gamecube, last gen consoles.
i cant beleive i just has to explain myself for why i am happy with buying a ps3...
I think you took what he was saying the wrong way... he was merely stating that he doesn't like the term 'Next Gen' and was asking for clarification as to what you mean't by it. I'm not saying I agree with him by the way, just pointing out that you may have overreacted a tad

Edit: If you meant the comment about people owning 360s... it's true, at least for me. Most people I know have a 360 which in my eyes is a plus point due to the reasons I pointed out. Nothing to do with one being better than the other.
You know full well what you were doing, you couldn't merely post the positives about your console, you had to compare it to the PS3.
You could have said you loved the controller but you said prefer. Better for multiplayer than PS3? Ok maybe, it's also better than a popup toaster for multiplayer but you didn't mention that. You simply did a "why my 360 is better than a PS3" post which is a little unimaginative. You didn't simply buy it because you thought it was better than a PS3, you didn't have to own either, tell us what you love about it.
Then again maybe you did simply buy it because all your friends had one.
If you say multiplayer is so good then tell us what is great about it, not simply that it is better than the PS3, which incidentally means little at the moment PS3 multiplayer seems poo at the minute and needs a decent comms solution.
I also mistakenly read yours as the first vs post which it wasn't, apologies for that.

you started it, you could have just let me have my opinion, that is, after all, what this thread is ALL about. -sorry for name calling-. by asking my to clarify my opinion you forced me to make a direct comparison to the PS3 (which, again, is my opinion that it is the only real thing to compare it to this gen (wii is just in to different a league)). In my honest opinion the PS3 is pap compared to the 360, i didn't need to say that in this thread, but you forced my hand.

raikiri bought it because i had one and he had to keep up with me (mind you my PC was crapper than his at the time
)and raikiri, you can't say live is better if you never have the opportunity to play it (sort you router out so i don't have to traipse up to your house to play halo 3
)
