Reasonable repair time for tv

Don't they give you a reasonable spare in the interim ? plead xmas ?
I had an older philips that was away for a month - parts may have to come from abroad (see similar recent sony posts) and they should be doing a burn in, to check that fix holds.

We're not far off Xmas use that as an excuse to kick up a fuss. Have they been in touch with you at all with an update yet?

They said the panel was expected last week and to be with me by this week and I had been “prioritised”, but I haven’t heard anything since.

It's John Lewis - kick up a fuss and they would probably give a refund. Someone I know had a 4 year old Samsung TV which took an 'unreasonable' length of time to repair and they gave him the cash value he originally paid against a new TV of his choice.

Well, so disappointingly the repairers were faffing about so I kicked up a fuss on twitter and John Lewis have refunded me.

The KS8000 was ideal and having only paid £1,470 for the 65" one, I'm struggling to find an equivalent for similar money.

I've ordered a OLED65B7V for £2,249 from Currys but they are currently awaiting stock. In the meantime I'm still trying to get together a shortlist of potential replacements that may be better suited.

So far I'm considering:

OLED65B7V £2,249

OLED65C7V £2,249

SONY BRAVIA KD65XE9305 £1999

The lower spec Sony's XE90/85 look to be inferior to my old KS8000 and in the 90's case actually more expensive.

Anything else I should look at?
