Rebuild with onboard gfx

I’m going to upgrade my mobo and CPU this weekend and install Win 7. The new board has onboard graphics which I’ve never had before. Is it a good idea to get everything up and running with the onboard graphics first before installing the new gfx card – a Sapphire 5830. My thinking is that if I do encounter any problems, not having the gfx card in there will eliminate that as a cause.

You can do it that way, I would install the 5830 from the start.

id do it the other way round

install with the graphics card in, then if u have problems, u can fall back to the onboard to elimiate the gpu as a cause

na stick it all together n plug 5830 in right away
best way tbh as if u use onboard first itl install drivers for it and well... to then swap means removing drivers n shuch...

only if u fail to boot should u start removing stuff

doing it other way round just creates more work for urself

As above, no reason why not but what have you to loose installing it from the start? Don't make work for yourself. It's a bit like going to the doctors before you get a cold
