Anyone seen this yet?

Been reading a few reviews and look at trailers and it does look bloody scary I must admit

I've been looking for a film that will really scare me as I love horror films and this looks like it could be it

But as always is it just the trailer picking the best bits and then its boring

Would like to hear some members reviews if they've seen it

I've not seen it, but it does look good. If you're looking for a good horror/thriller, I highly recommend The Orphanage. Scared the crap out of me!

Very absorbing movie with some excellent scenes in it. I was worried that it wouldn't be able to explain the goings on in the movie, but everything that happens makes it believable.

I'd highly recommend it if you are on the lookout for a scary movie.

Saw the trailer for this before Cloverfield and thought it looked good. After reading the reviews i really want to see it now, oh and hollywood have remade it already. Its called Quarantine and its out October, whether it will be faithfull or just another bad remake remains to be seen.

Yeah subtitled. Don't let that put you off though as there are some cracking subtitled movies.

Not long back from seeing this, wow awesome film. Yeah the subtitles didn't ruin it one bit. Certianly puts the creepers on you at some bits, one of the scariest films i've saw in a long time. Most films just don't have that affect anymore.

Why o why do they keep doing this, leave it alone!!

I thought the whole film was predictable, as in you knew when something was gonna pop out or a scary moment was coming

Still didnt stop me jumping though

Great film

Holy ****, this is one seriously scary film.

Anyone looking for proper shocks should give this film a watch.

Agreed saw this the other day and even though you know that somethings going to happen still makes you jump. Proper old school shocks. Good build up and scares all the way through. Definitely not for the feint hearted.

^^ This man speaks the truth, lol.

I thought the foreign language and subtitles would be a problem (like with The Orphanage) but once the scares started to roll in, I couldn't care less tbh. Honestly, this is probably the first time in ages that I've been truly gripped with fear over a movie, it is that terrifying.

As Solid has already said, they use proper old school shocks, but it's pulled of so well even the blatantly obvious moments made my heart jump. The movie is pretty much like an hour long rollercoaster ride in hell and easily one of the best, if not the best movies I've seen in the genre, ever.

Get's a 9/10 from me.

Why were they a problem in The Orphanage? I'm surprised someone with your taste [which is excellent] would have a problem with subtitled films.

The film was great, but the subtitles were awkward and too quick in parts. I don't know, maybe I'm just a slow reader or was trying to concentrate too much on the dialogue, but it bothered me quite a bit, especially the lead female character who spoke quite fast.

I did notice the subtitles moving a little fast a couple of times during The Orphanage, nothing that ruined the film for me though.

Having seen both now, I have to say I much preffered REC. The Orphanage seemed a little tame in comparison, maybe I watched them a little too close to each other.
