I am looking for a compact camera in the range £150-£250, though ideally nearer the lower end of the scale. Main points are good battery life, natural colours and fast to shoot with (no long delays ideally). I am considering the Canon Ixos 100 but have heard it's slow. Are there any cameras which are a bit more 'old school' in that they don't overprocess the image and just shoot pretty directly?
Any modern one will have more than enough MP and good battery life is more of a concern than a large screen. A good quality video mode is desireable too.
Thanks for any advice!
