reccomend me a os for my vps

Hey guys, Im thinking of buying a vps and I can choose from fedora core 2 or centOS 3.5. Could someone reccomend the best one for an inexperienced linix user to use.

Oh, I can also choose from cpanel and plesk, so could someone reccomend one of them aswell which will work well with the reccomended os.

either, theyre just as good as each other, however i dont think FC2 includes yum which can be very useful

i'd go with centos myself!! very stabel well supported etc etc is based on Red Hat ES

For a server, CentOS. 3.5 is a little old though - I imagine you can upgrade to 4.2 (i think that's latest) after 3.5 is installed.

When I looked in to Virtozzo, it didn't support CentOS 4, which is why I suspect it's on 3 - I don't know if this has changed recently though.

FC2 does have yum built in, even FC1 did - but I'd go with CentOS for a server.
