Obviously since they have been about for a huge number of years, not like Drowning Pool whom have just released just the one album which will more than likely be their last since dave their vocalist died a few months ago.

Get the Guns 'n' Roses live disc, one of the best albums I've got :)

Iron Maiden hmm hmm hmm naaaaaaaaaaaaaa

AC/DC? :) got individual tracks and they seem good
Rammstein - I have mutter and it's excellent!

Deep Purple, try and get some live stuff much better. Soulfly if you looking for something heavy, I recommend "Primitive" class album. Disturbed are good too you should get the first album though, "The Sickness". And Pitchshifter are good too get Deviant as their first was dodge. If you like Disturbed and Pitchshifter go for On Minuet Silence they are another not too heavy band. Finally some of the really heavy stuff.

Fear Factory, get their old stuff and you'll see what I mean.
Slipknot, By far the best NeMetal band Imo.
The Haunted, either of the two albums are good.
And finally Decide, Heavy metal in tonnage form if you ask me.

Any way you have said that you are into the heavy stuff but give some of the lighter ones ago I quite like um.

I recently got into listening to an industrial rock group called Vast, not really been heard of here in Britian but they are dam good. They have two albums, Music for people and Visual Audio Sensory Theater. I would highly recomend them.

The Vines - Highly Evolved
The Datsuns
Weezer - Maladroit
The D4 - 6twenty
Led Zeppelin II
The Pixies - Death To The Pixies

EDIT: The first 4 aren't that heavy, but are amazing albums.

Youngsters.

Who said I was a youngster?

I been around the music industry for quite a number of years now. Followed Metallica from an early age. Is it a crime not to like bands such as G.N.R's or Iron Maiden when we grow up all those years ago.

Anyhow, Black/Death metal is a lot better compared to the music they play.

Check out Emperor or Zyklon.

Then you will know what music really is. End of Story.

May I humbly recoment some albums by the cult

Electric, sonic temple and love and good choices.

The Jesus and Mary chain are a bit different and may appeal.

Don't forget Nine Inch Nails and nirvana.

I can't believe the thread has this many replies and no one has mentions Tool. Go buy Tool TOOL TOOL.

The new foo's album is also worth a listen (thought it isn't really heavy rock). Another album to consider is Dirty by Sonic Youth. The name of the album suits the sound of the songs too :)
