Hello,

Could anyone please suggest a decent, reliable motherboard in the price range of approx £50 - £75?

It needs to have the following features:
socket am2 (putting an x2 4200+ in it)
800mhz ddr2 support
ieee1394 firewire port on board
min. 4 sata connectors
on board lan
no on board graphics
sli not really necessary
on board sound

Overclocking will not be carried out so it doesn't have to be an overclocking board, and it doesn't have to have anything really fancy either.

Any ideas? I've looked at Asus m2n-sli deluxe but i've heard many people have BSOD issues with it when installing windows xp.

Thanks in advance!

Nearly on budget, you need get the SLI 570 chipset to get 1394, you gain SLI (1x16 or 2x8) and a better chipset anyhow.

The non SLI 570 Asus has issues where DDR2 volts was not 2.1v and you could not go that high in the bios so I'm told by Asus its dicontinued as I had used some for customers builds, lucky ram ram ok with 1.95v

Since the other mobo were dicontinued and the price of the above model fell to decent price, its what I know use for customers builds, and the ram can be set to 2.1v or higher.

I own a Asus Crosshair (590 Flagship) for my own use.
