Received my Xbox from Microsoft... but

I sent off my X-Box last Monday and I received it back today, but they seem to have forgotten to send back my Hard Drive.

I phoned them up and they said the repairs department are going to Investigate and phone me back within 48 hours.

And before you say it, They asked me to send off my HDD also :p

Lets hope they can find mine and not send me a new one, as ill lose all my saved games, updates and addons for the games.
 
I would have purchased a MU first for all my important saves myself, but I really hope they get it sorted matey, I'd hate to lose so much stuff.
 
Well I decided to keep on there backs and phoned them back today as they didnt return a call as they said.

The person on the other end of the phone said there going to Esculate the call to the Supervisor and he will give me a call back, If they havent called back tommorow ill give them another call.
 
Best thing to do. I can understand where problems can arise on their end, however just percivere and you'll get either your HDD or a new one back. If they say you're getting a new one play holy hell for a 120gb one for inconvenience and lost game saves.
 
Oh well an update.

Finally managed to get an answer from Microsoft saying they did not receive my Hard Drive and can do nothing about it.

Told me to Contact Ups as they maybe "Stole" My hard drive.

The guy on the phone said hes going to contact the repair center again to check again if they have my Hard Drive.

Im at a loss, what do i do?
 
That's crazy :( If it was in the same box then surely MS recieved it?

I guess give UPS a ring and tell them MS have said the HDD wasn't in the box and maybe UPS have some insurance? I'm just guessing here, I really dunno. That just sucks.

Personally I'd never have sent the HDD even if they asked for it, I didn't when I sent my 360 back.

Get MS to give you a replacement HD, if it's lost at their repair center = their responsibility. If it's lost during transit = UPS's falut, and since MS is the client then get MS to claim off them and you claim off MS.
 
As Raymond said, it's Microsofts problem, don't chase UPS, keep on at Microsoft, and personally I'd be doing this every other day. Fact is your harddrive with all your stuff has gone, so you may as well kiss that goodbye. But it only takes a phonecall for them to arrange a replacement to be sent out to you on next day courier. So the most you should be waiting is 24 hours, especially after this long.
 
They say when they receive my Xbox for replacement they catalogue all the stuff in the box and they say the HDD wasent in there.

Im going to give them a call back tommorow and make sure i either get my own Hdd back or a Replacement.

I want to play Halo 3 but cant as I cant save my game, same with all my other games, I also cant use Xbox Live without a storage device. so im paying for a service that i cant use.
 
Im sure, as I removed the hard drive from the console and put it in some bubble wrap and placed it in the box

Sounds like that's where your problem lies. They probably removed the 360 from the box and didn't even notice the HDD.

I'd be on the phone to them now telling them you're 100% sure that the HDD was in the box and it doesn't matter if it was UPS or MS's fault, you want a replacement sorted NOW. Don't take any crap from them as they're clearly trying to fob you off with the UPS excuse.

Sorry for the late reply as I was on holiday in Cyprus.

I phoned Microsoft today to find out what was happening, they said they contacted their Support Department twice to try and find out what happend to my Hard Drive and the Service center said they did not receive my Hard Drive.

Then the lady said becuase i was still in warrenty they would send me out a Brand new Hard Drive even tho Ive had my Console since launch , but im just happy that I finally got a Hard Drive again.
 
I would still hassle them bud, as those games saves are worth a lot. Explain it was bubble wrapped with the 360 but at least they are giving you a replacment.
 
Update:

When I phoned them up on the 22nd and they said that they will send me a hard drive and it will be here within 10 days.

I was at work today and They called my home phone number and it was my mum that answered.

They proceded to explain that the service center had not received my Hard Drive and they would not be replacing it.

So my mum called me and explained that they called and what they said.

After work I gave them a call, I gave them my reference number and said that they had contacted my mother and explained that they would not be sending me a replacement hard drive.

At that point i thought Wtf So i said that i called on the 22nd and the person said that they will be replacing the hard drive and it will be sent out that day.

Then she said that they didnt say that and that call was not about sending me a hard drive and that call was just esculated.

Then i started rasining my voice and repeating myself over and over again.

She said again that the call was Esculated and they didnt send a ahrd drive and they litrelly called me a liar.

I said Right. I called on the 22nd? She said Yes. I said Did you agree to send me a new hard drive. she said No. I said then can you explain to me what this number is xxxxxxxxxxxx. She said who gave you this number I said your support team.

Then she put me on hold and then came back. and asked are you sure we gave it to you? To which i Replice I phoned on the 22nd October you agreed to send me a repalcement hard drive and it will be here within 10 days. You then 2 days later gave me this tracking number. Now if you were esculating the call not sending the hard drive why would you give me a tracking number for a parcel you sent to me.

I then asked if all calls are recorded. To which she replied with yes. I then asked her to revice the call on the 22nd She then put me on hold.

2 minuts later she Said Im sorry about this, the hard drive was dispatched and no explenation given for the "We wont send one"

God i was soooooooooo annoyed.
