Received my Xbox from Microsoft... but

Give them holy hell, don't speak to the muppets on the phone, go to a supervisor and make a formal complaint,

Get the head office address and the name of the MD and write directly to him/her, don't just take the grief that they are giving as you don't deserve it.

Where would I find this information from?

As I would like to send a letter of complaint.

I take it I dont address it to Bill Gates xD?

MS Xbox Customer support is great if you're problem is simple enough to follow the script- aka a classic 3RLOD but falls apart as soon as something off the page happens.

Just thought I would let yous know that my Hard Drive came through today.

They only sent it Via Royal Mail and didnt even send it recorded, So i didnt have to sign for it.

Stupid them :D

Its a brand new one, So ive lost 3 years of gamesaves, Lucky i can re download all the items i bought on Market Place.

Does anybody know the name and address of the guy thats the head of the Xbox Division as I would like to write a letter telling him exactly what happend and how they messed me about and lied to me.

Might get some Freebies :)

Don't leave it here man! File a formal complaint and let them have it! You've been messed around big time and their customer service team has been incompetant throughout.

You at least deserve a free game or five ;)

edit: balls just read you're last post, that's the spirit ;) Ring them up and ask them if they have a complaints department that you can post a formal letter to.

When I called with a 3RLOD issue, they would not log the failure until I told them what colour the light on the power supply was. Then when the shipping labels did not arrive in 48 hours, they tried to convince me that 48 hours was in fact 4 days.

Expect the worst and you'll never be surprised when it happens..

You've had a shed load of hassle, but hey, you'll get a free month's gold membership for your troubles :)

Hold on a second, did they tell you specifically to send the HD back with the 360??. If they did then they are at fault for losing it...but if they said specifically to NOT send the HD back then its your fault and you cant hold them responsible.

When i sent my old premium back to them last month they told me to send just the 360 and not the hd attached.

Read the opening post maybe?

It seems like a complete joke of a system if you have to send anything else back apart from the 360. Service from MS is great if things go smoothly, but lord help you if you have a problem.

Good to see you got an HDD. I have to say I have spent A LOT of time on the phone to MS due to an unfortunate series of problems with my 360 and they are probably the best to deal with out of any company I've had a problem with.

Just thought I would bump this thread up again rather than making a new one.

Just to say that my Xbox has died again tonight with the Usuall 3 Ring of Death.

Going to give support a call in the morning, I hope they send me a new Premium Console with an HMDI port :)

and this time, Im not sending in my HDD :)

Good news that you got back a hard drive. But i think the problems lies in the fact that 360 owners must send their consoles back for repair.

So far with my PS3 i've had no problems yet, although i did manage to knock a glass of water on one of the six axis controllers and ruin it, although game replaced it over the counter no questions (after i had dried it out throroughly :P).

Im not being a 'fan-boy' here but it seems the 360 is very fragile so to speak, although im sure there are plenty of PS3 issues...

Yikes, I was getting angry at the CSA just reading your posts. As said already, Don't leave it there, You got a hard drive out of them yes, But if anything you've still lost out. Your time, Your Phone Bill and your game saves. You should still put in a complaint, listing everything, From losing the hard drive to begin with, To calling you a liar on the phone, to getting no apology from and ending up with a hard drive minus your game saves.

Update :

Phoned Microsoft today and told the guy that I had the 3 Red Lights on my console, I gave him a reference number from the previous repair job which was about 5 months ago i think.

He then told me because it was my second repair that he would send the courier out within 2 days and get the console back to me between 7 and 10 days, He also let me chose a free game from a list which I chose kameo.

There support gets a big Thumb up from me, a lot better than last time.
