The reply you leave to negatives says more than the feedback itself. Especially when it is gibberish! As for the feedback percentage, it drops off after 12 months. Thats how long it is visible for.
Oops, you're right - it's 12 months.

Received my first negative recently out of 135 sales. I sold a phone and in the listing I stated that it was faulty and that the screen had recently been replaced with another one off eBay. Some guy won it and then a week later I get a negative saying "dont bid or buy abything from him. not describe properly".
I sent him a message asking what was wrong with the phone and he replied with...
Erm, what?
After many messages later, it appears he's mad because the screen was replaced and apparently he didn't know about it, despite it clearly stating it in the listing...
Is there any chance of ever getting the negative removed? I've asked him to change it but he wants £30, the cheeky ****.
Sigh.![]()
Sounds like a dirty, illiterate immigrant or some council estate white trash.
And you sound like...

Tough. You posted on a public Internet messageboard.
Don't sweat it. Your feedback percentage is only calculated on feedback in the past 6 months, so it'll drop off soon enough. Leave a response explaining what happened, and any buyer with half a brain will see that it wasn't your fault. 1 transaction isn't going to kill any chance of you selling more stuff.

Watch out, he doesn't recall asking for your opinion.
Just reply to it, saying changed screen is in the listing.
For me as long as the reply is sensible then I don't see it as a negative just a rubbish buyer, especially with that wording.
