Hey guys,

I've had a parcel arrive this morning with my address but a different name. It's from M&S (delivered by City Link), I've not had a chance to call either of them up yet but I'm just wondering what is likely to happen.

I'm assuming M&S will have to arrange for a pickup (and not me) if they wish to have the package back?

Yes, you should phone them and let them know, they will send someone out... my mum and dad had the same issue, even thought they never picked up the package.

Stelly

If you know the person just drop it off at their house and tell them the address is wrong, if you don't know it then do what Stelly said

Not a clue who it's for, the dudes name is the same as someone on my uni course, but it'd be a small world... :D

It lists what the package is on the box, "M&S Wine Lovers Pack" then lists 4 bottles of wine. Wish it was for me :(

Hopefully they wont bother sending a courier out :p

Phoned M&S, explained the situation. Guy on the phone said if I could drop it off at my nearest M&S store that'd be brilliant, but sadly I'm leaving for home for 3 weeks tomorrow so said no can do. He spoke with his manager, said just keep it :D

Boom, 3 bottles of wine worth £50. :D

Result :)

Now you have three options

1) Get ****faced
2) Save some money on xmas presents and pass them out as gifts
3) Pass them out as gifts, then say, aww lets have a bit, neck the bottle(s) and get ****faced

Will enjoy them over Christmas, although the temptation to open the red is strong!

And yeah Simulatorman, karma exists after all eh :D

Is it ticking?

Modern bombs don't tick. But when a package vibrates, the delivery man has gotta call the police. 9 times out of 10 it's an electric razor, but every once in a while, it's a *****. Of course it's company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a *****... always use the indefinite article - a *****, never your *****.
