I'm expecting a couple of payments (one from Brazil, about £500, one from the USA, about £500-£1000/month) - can anyone recommend a low-cost way to receive them? I'd rather avoid Paypal (due to their cut). Would Western Union be alright? It's all legit btw!

International bank transfer? Costs about £20 per transfer.

From your point of view Western Union would be perfect.
Go to your local agent and you pick up the cash.
With Western Union the risk is all on the person sending the money.
Cool. I know (and trust) the people who are sending me the money, it's just really finding out the cheapest way to do it!

Depends on your bank, their bank and what what they were offing that day. Will be the same with Western Union.
Doesn't appear to support payments from either Brazil or the USA?
