I'm expecting a couple of payments (one from Brazil, about £500, one from the USA, about £500-£1000/month) - can anyone recommend a low-cost way to receive them? I'd rather avoid Paypal (due to their cut). Would Western Union be alright? It's all legit btw!

Send emails to random people asking them to recieve the money as a cheque then send it on to you, promising them a small cut?

From your point of view Western Union would be perfect.
Go to your local agent and you pick up the cash.

With Western Union the risk is all on the person sending the money.

Cool. I know (and trust) the people who are sending me the money, it's just really finding out the cheapest way to do it!

Paypal doesn't charge fees on gift payments. Dunno if there is an upper limit though.

Makes MM a much nicer place :D
