No point in buying an agp only board, get the Asrock dual sata, it has pcie and agp, best board for the money.

ill second that, its the only agp one worth choosing for its value for money and its upgrade path with pcie

Well thats the board i'm going to use for my 3700 coming tomorrow

So has anyone else got any info on the recent batch of these CPU's ? :)

Bought one of these in this week only. Its KAB2E 0549 EPDW - using it with a asrock dual - have got 2.6 ghz out of it without too much messing so far- tested for a couple of hours with prime 95- not had time for any more yet.

got mine 2 weeks ago, does 2.7 on stock volts, dont seem to like going much further tho, can boot at 2.8 but its not really stable and thats with the volts at 1.4 which is the max or the Dual Sata unless you do the volt mod, but I am happy with 2.7.

Got this monday primed 24hrs on default setting no overclock, 1st thing I noticed was cpu, and pwmic dropped 4 degrees!!! from my old winnie (3500+)at default
I am currently testing it, I have decided to go to the max volts I am willing to put through, 1.56v, and have just got super pi 32m stable, but only 6 hrs before prime failure at 249 x 11=2739.
Dropprd it down 2 on fsb to 247 x 11=2717, which I intend to run for 24hrs starting now 6am wed.then I'll report back if stable. Both with htt x3
This might seem backward but I thought by using max volts now, it may help to burn it in. once I got 24hrs prime stable I wil then reduce my voltages till unstable then up them again.

I would be made up to get this overclock without uping voltages, all that extra heat/power, for a few 10's mhtz, just aint worth it, If your 24hrs prime stable at that, rub your hands together in pure smugness!!!
Search through here at dfi's stock speed database. there's 2 3700 near bottom page 7

Goodo :D

Update

Failed prime after 2hrs? so I knocked off 1 on fsb 246 x 11=2707, and I have uped the volts to max (only on) LDT and NB. not cpu, which is still 1.56v
Been priming 8 hrs nearly

urm what are your volts for the cpu? you say max i hope you aren't putting insane amounts through it, what cooling have you got?

Thermalright 120 wth Panaflow.
1.56volts is what I have on my cpu now, and this is the absolute max I am prepared to put through it.
I was refering to the NB and HTT, that I have set to max voltage, (angry games at dfi says this is ok), but I am not happy although I am now prime stable nearly 10hrs, my cpu and pwmic temps are both at 45c full load.
I am open to suggestions though on tne NB and HTT voltages, if I get 24hrs as is, I will then down voltages on everything in stages

ahh kk fair enough, thought you had max volts on cpu lol! max i'd put through my cpu would be 1.55v (on air) but i wouldn't run it 24/7 at that just bench! i'm happy running around 1.45v-1.5v for 24/7 use should see me around 2.8-3ghz!
