Recent Ebay changes, Will you stop using it?

My understanding is that PayPal managed it, considering ebay had no way of taking your money. It will now be all in house at Ebay, they will own the risk.

I thought they were owned by the same company? Or am I years out of date.

They were for a long time but eBay spun off Paypal in 2014/15
