I have been using the original Logitech Dinovo Media Desktop that was released in 2004 and was thinking of getting a new keyboard and mouse, I was looking at the G513 Keyboard and G502 Hero but I noticed something.

Despite these big keyboards with the mandatory number pad to make them even wider they still have relocated some keys and some keys are completely absent.

No £ key
~ and # key next to shift have been split up and relocated

I have been looking at a LOT of the gaming keyboards and have noticed its pretty much the same across them all and I don't know where there is a $ key but no £ key.

Anybody know how long this has been going on as I type and game with the same keyboard and all this stuff being relocated is going to be a pain ESPECIALLY the "@" Key being shoved from next to shift to the number 2 key where " is currently located.

All keyboards I look at seem to have this exact same layout.

PS
If I decide to get the Logitech G513 is it possible to buy the set keys that it does not come with (Say for instance I get the one that comes with Linear Switches, can I purchase the Tactile Switches separately?)

It would be major headache for keyboard makers to take and manage product pics for every layout.
So usually keyboards in product pics show only US layout keyboard, which is instantly distinguishable from shape of enter.
And layout of keyboard is often mentioned in product name or description.
Like in OcUK's product page:

Romer-G switches can be found separately from web, like most mechanical switches.
But changing switches would require lots of soldering anyway, in first detaching existing switches and then attaching new switches.

As stated above, you are seeing US layout images.

Check that what you are buying has a UK layout and you will receive a keyboard with the layout you are accustomed to.

What these guys said ^

We are sent US Layout product images instead of UK.

I try and put "UK Layout" in title, short description and long description for a keyboard to reassure everyone.

Sometimes I can't fit it in, so it may just be in one of them, and sometimes in older product listings which were made before my time it may not state it at all.

If in doubt it's always UK Layout unless stated otherwise!

Seems the layout I am used to is available as "Spanish Layout" lol.

I may have misspoken about my additional inquiry, its not the switches but rather the caps I was inquiring about.

This is the layout I am used to.

It seems you are correct, even other retailers online pictures are wrong, I wonder on how much stuff I have missed out on enjoying because the screenies were not correct lol.

I managed to try out the G413 (Never had the 513) and liked the keys, they were not too noisy compared to the other keyboards that they had setup and the space bar was the quietest among all the keyboards. Corsair one they had was pretty damn quiet on the keys but the space bar OH MY GOD that would drive me round the bend lol.
