It might not be the best photo in the world, but come on, it's being overly harsh to call it 'dreadful'

Not really - It's badly composed, badly/boringly lit and not particularly sharp.
From a technical and (personally) aesthetical point of view it's a dreadful photograph.

Some of your own aren't exactly perfect if you're going to be that picky though.

I think it takes more than that before it's 'dreadful'. The phone picture two posts below is dreadful. That one is just not very good.

I'm not but ripping into something as being 'dreadful' when it really isn't, imo, is unneeded.

Just goes to show that even if you have a 1Ds mkII you can still take really crap photos!

If you are on about the VR6 one i posted, its drastically resized from the original, which I think IIRC was about 25Mb - that might be partly why it looks a bit crap. The Orwell pub was chosen, because the feature was called Animal Farm and the cars were Dubsport customer's. The photographer was a fellah called Richard (something), who is freelance but does a lot of stuff for EVO mag and Merc press stuff.
