Hi,

I bought a new Seagate X20 drive and noticed it's a plain white label with a manufacture date of 2022

Seagate warranty says "contact place of purchase"

My last replacement drive from Seagate was white label and a recertified drive, I've not bought a mechanical drive for a few years, have Seagate changed there drive labels or have I been sent a recertified drive?

Thanks

If its a recert it will have the recertification logo/writing on it.. Like snapshot says it sounds like a OEM/Integrator Drive. Here is a drive that is a recertified/refurbished product as you can tell by the writing below the seagate logo. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-internal-ST16000NM000D-7200RPM-Refurbished/dp/B0CWHGG8J8

IIRC If it has a black, White and green label that is Retail if its black and white its an OEM and if it says Refurbished/Recertified its kinda self explanatory. :)
