Recomend a curry to cook

The Patak curry pastes are a good place to start but I prefer to use the jamie oliver curry pastes, it's just more satisfying cooking everything from scratch.

My favourite to cook is a tarke daal, if you like lentils. Not the spiciest but you can turn up the heat and add more curry powder to it if you like.

My old man used to do an amazing beef curry with sultanas in. They added a slight sweetness to is that was superb.

If you're wiling to try a restaurant style curry (base, pre-cooked meat, etc.) then this book is very good. I've made three curries from it now and they've produced some of the best curries I've ever made. Highly recommended.
