Ok so first.

I had my PC plugged into a multi-plug thing with my TV and monitor. I had the TV on, when I switch the switch on the back of the PSU it cut the power from all the plug sockets on the top floor of my house. I changed the fuse and it still does not work.

I tried it with another PSU and it worked so I need a new one as the one I used to test it is not up to the job!

My spec is
Mobo: Asus deluxe P6t v2
GPU: Asus HD7770
CPU: Intel I7 930 or 60
My old psu was a corsair 650W

I'm on a very tight budget so the cheaper the better, I'm a student !

My friends ocz psu just died, Like others have said, get the best you can afford. How old was the corsair psu? they have quite long warranty's. Mine is 7 years.

In the past week I've seen several people complaining their Corsair PSU has died, even the best makers produce PSU's that don't last as well as expected or are DOA.

I've had cheap no name PSU's last years, luck of the draw to some extent.

The OCZ will be fine, but the Corsair is a bit better, but at £15 more.

Not sure got is second hand, I had it for about 1 year. Im not to bothered tho as I got it for free :)

I will go for the corsair one.

Not gonna upgrade my graphics card tho as I don't play games much. Only really use the pc to program otherwise im on linux or my laptop :)
