Recomend me games for mini LAN

Hi Guys,

could you please give me some suggestions for games to play, the missus is away for the weekend and ive invited the lads round for a mini lan, should be around 6 to 8 of us.

I am thinking of Bf2 co op, CS:S VIP mod and maybe some AVP2. I think racing sims are off as a few guys cant drive and would stuggle and get bored, but arcade types might me worth a go.

any suggestions :)
 
I know you said no driving games, but I don't think this requires you to be able to drive, its just a laugh!

Trackmania, any of them really, and there are enough demo versions out there with numerous tracks availabe so that no-one will actually have to buy the game.

The original is more "fun" and less skillfull, would be better suited to those who dont like driving.
 
Just had another thought, although this would require you all have GTA:SA for the PC.


The latest versions of Multi Theft Auto are now getting seriously good, no more syncing issues (or at least very rarely), and some fantastic game modes! (cops & robbers is ace fun!).

Can play that for hours online with mates on teamspeak, so if your all in the same room, it should be fantastic (almost zero lag, and your mates to laugh at)!
 
second that ^^^ if your internet connection is good enough then u can all jump on a public server and go about laying the smack down as a gang :P

Q3 against bots is fun, gets the team work going ;) infact any Co-ops but they are hard to come by :(

Great options, thanks for that, we have played multi theft auto a long time ago but it was a little too buggy and there was no real point to any of it. but i will have a look at the latest stuff

Trackmania is awesome fun, I really cant put it down for months when I start playing it!
 
SWAT 4 coop is seriously fun if you can get every on to cooperate. Accidentally using a breaching shotgun on your mates head when he is optiwanding is hard to beat for fun.
 
With my 2 computers in my attic, i tend to play:

CSS + Mods (Goldeneye Source, Plan of attack)
BF1942 + DC (with bots)
BF2 (not as fun as 1942 though :o )
Call Of Duty 1 + UO + 2 over internet (not so much fun over LAN)
IL-2 + Aces + Pacific Fighters (Watch your mates try and take off from a static carrier :D ) Mess around on airfields etc. Lots of fun without joysticks too.
BFME 1 + 2 (Nearly as good as Generals, still absolutely amazing though against extreme hard bots when you are all playing co-op)
CNC Generals + Zero Hour
SWAT 4 + Expansion (Lots of teamwork required)
Raven Shield (Best SWAT type game going imo, even better than SWAT over a LAN)
