Hi i am building a pc for my cousin, i have a Gigabyte 7970 uinlocked card my self but to save some money i said a 7950, so need opinions on what one to buy.
Thanks

I think this one is pretty good. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-065-HS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1673

Has the tommy and rusty seal of approval. Voltage unlocked and generally seems to clock pretty well on the core. Fairly quiet fan i believe and exhausts all heat out the back of the case.

The only bad points (if you can call them that) would be 7950 memory clocking so won't go as high as a 7970 and no vrm temp monitoring. Aside from that its an excellent card for the price and one i would definitely pick myself if i was adding a second one to my rig for xfire.

Thanks Matt, yeah my cousin isn't massively interested in overclocking but nice if it can be done;)

i have just got this card hits temps of 75-80c in a cool case due to the 1.25v used by the boost and cannot change the voltages or find a bios that will let me. others with earlier versions wer able to change bios to remove the boost and change volts but mine will not let me 1.25v everytime boost kicks in. his wer no help either in sorting it

The Ice-Q is a smashing card.

If you copy the red text into your 'PP_PhmSoftPowerPlayTable' value, it will give you a voltage of 1125mV.
