Well basically i want a car that has 200bhp or more but not over 300bhp just to not be snail on the road :p the max budget would be 8000£.

for now i just found mazda rx7 or lexus is 200 sport if you know more cars could you recommend it plz

Thank You ;)

Thats a pretty basic spec me lol..

Got to be something else you want from the car?... Rear wheel drive? a coupe? age? lol

Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo. Imports are c.280 unfettled, 320 for UKDM cars. Dirt cheap for what you get but as with most things this fast, you get massive running costs. I had mine for a year and I needed a new exhaust (£500 fitted, inc de-cat), 2 new tyres which were £100 each for BUDGETS (selling it and wanted to get it through the MOT) because of the wheels on it. Petrol - 15mpg on V-power only, insurnace was £900fc at 26 with 5 years NCB....

well coupe or car with normal back seats does not really matter, i prefer rear wheel drive but don't mind 4wd. year somewhere between 1998 - 2001

Erm a Lexus IS200 has 150bhp so is some way short of your requirement.

How old are you and what is your car history? It may be that a less powerful car will offer you the performance you need anyway - power is nothing on its own, a 200bhp Range Rover will be left for dead by a 100bhp 106.

Saw those on the BBC news today, affordable cars...don't think I'd want to even lean on that for fear of it breaking though if it is that affordable!

News said they were £1200 is they come to the UK!

As for car suggestions, not a clue. :D

Well Toyota own Lexus. The IS200 is 150bhp from a 2 litre Straight Six - hence the name IS 200.

To be honest, you don't neccesarily need 200bhp+. There are many 150bhp cars around which will feel like rocketships coming from a 206 1.9 diesel.

well i driven toyota celica 2003 i think it was close to 200 hp 170 or 180. i liked it. and i driven toyota supra i think it was 300 hp could not handle it tbh.

edit: then if you can recommend something 150 hp 220hp if you could

I think just about anything with 150 BHP will feel like a Rocketship after that! :D

If you stick to a similar size car to the 205, 120BHP would probably do it!

Give us some ideas mate, small car? medium car? Large car?

E.G. BMW 3 Series, 5 Series or 7 Series Size?

The more info you give, the more wide of the mark we undoubtedly will be.:D

Everything you have mentioned has been jap. You want something along those lines?

Pretty sure you could pick up a late supra with the 2JZ-GE (non turbo 3ltr) for £8k lol.. not what id get myself.. but each to their own.. they run about 215bhp i think.. or maybe alittle more.

well the size of the car i would like similar like bmw 3 series or lexus is 200 not much bigger. I was looking to get bmw 330i but then i was thinking insurance would be insane as it is 3 liter and it eats loads of patrol.

As someone said lexus is 200 will do me fine it probably will and its good looking car but before looking for one i want to see what my options are and maybe there is better cars out there.

edit: and i don't like peugoet 206 size cars anymore as they to small for me and im quite tall 6 feet 1 inch. and someone else said that power is not all i totally agree with that. as i would like to do some quarter miles/half miles, not only drive around the town.

You can get a lesser bmw 3 series... from a 1.9 dirty d in a pug to anything with over 140bhp in something the size of the 3 series is gonna feel pretty fast lol. Fox knows more about these cars than most on here.. if hes willing to help and you are intrested in one.. im not a fan of the lexus myself.. they look pretty but are far from best in class.

Have a look at Civic Type R and Leon Cupra - fast and when remapped are impressively fast.

Also Golf 4motion though I think insurance might be a bit if that is your worry, get quotes and see.
