As title im after a fantasy book and i dont want no LOTR clone or similar heres what i'd like from the book:
Sort of an asian history to it
lots of battles and blood being spilled
it can have mythical things in it like undead or dragons ect
samurais dynstastys huge wars you get the picture.

Pretty certain none fall into the category he describes though. Epic battles are ten a penny, bloody violence is surprisingly rare (Joe Abercrombie is probably the most bloody, along with George R R Martin, and the first fantasy by Richard Morgan has his usual trademark sprays of blood), but fantasies set in the far east are rare, and all the ones I know are only semi-serious, so fail all the other criteria.

Some of the riftwar saga takes place in an asian military society. Much of it is set in forests with elves and stuff though :p

Not Asian themed but the Malazan Book of the Fallen (Steven Erikson) series has epic battles and a seriously huge scope- reasonably graphic in places. Good time to start the series though as it's almost complete. You could probably start with the second book 'Deadhouse Gates' if you want 'epic battle'- half of the book is an on-going battle (and it is awesome!)

The Genghis Khan ones are better in my opinion; the Emperor ones were fantastic, but the Conqueror series just works more nicely!

Magician - Raymond E Feist ( best fantasy book I have ever read)

Aye - but for the immersive side of the stories go with the following books:

Daughter of the Empire
Servant of the Empire
Mistress of the Empire

Excellent books.

I would also strongly recomment The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.

Maybe the two Shike books by Robert Shea would interest you?

I have to admit I didn't even realise there were two until googling it just now but I've read the second and it was decent enough. Getting hold of them might be a bit more of a challenge though since I don't think they've been reprinted all that recently.
