Decent coop PC games to seem to be few and far between these days, remember back in the day going round my mates and playing loads of different games over the network, but now most seem to be pay per month MMO's (or free and mostly poor MMO's).

Now I have two decent spec computers at home and want to play some decent games coop with the missus. The only games I can find are either stupidly expensive or that old the graphics are rubbish.

I'd prefer an RPG or a 'mild' FPS (missus doesnt play a lot of games). We've played Titans Quest, Loki, Dungeon Siege 1 & 2, Space Siege (Crap) and Freelancer together. Also I've just completed Borderlands, which would have been ideal if it wasnt £30 (didnt want to pay out 60quid just to play 2 player...).

So any recomendations for a newish RPG or FPS with coop around £10-£15 a copy? Left 4 Dead 1/2 are too dear, killing floor or silverfall are the only two I can find but they dont get great reviews

Thanks for any help!!! :D

I know it's a little out of your target, but have you considered an MMO? I played WoW with my ex and it proved good fun (I think she still plays now :D).

Otherwise, I'm stumped, sorry!

Serious Sam? :)

Prefer an rpg or an fps where you can level up or with a bit of a story/campaign. Is Serious Sam just a basic shooter or does it have a coop campaign type mode?

As I said prefer not to be a pay per month MMO, we did play wow for a bit but paying for two subscriptions and the games etc all gets a bit dear (besides wow is imo getting a bit dated now).

Any more ideas?

Warcraft 3 Frozen throne with RPG maps? There are quite a few out there, some are more suited to more players, but I've done a few with my brothers which are pretty fun.

Some maps to check out:

The Black Road
Everquest 2
Final Fantasy
Zelda

There are also loads of Zombie maps.

Edit: and of course there's the map that comes with the game - Warchasers

Sure the game is a bit old, but it's still a very good game, and a lot of those maps are a good laugh =)

You can pick up copies of the game and expansion for <£5 each.

l4d 1 and 2 are still kings of coop atm.

l4d1 was about £6 during the steam sales too :(

But you can find it quite cheap on line.

Picked up 2 copies of killing floor, silverfall and L4D on the jungle site for less than £40 bargain! Cheers guys (thought you could only get L4D off steam!)

£30 quid? I got my copy of Borderlands in steam deal for 20 quid then picked up a copy for the missus on amazon for 14 quid

Just looked now and it even cheaper

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0026IBHII/mffindgame-21

Definately worth it for that price!

Company of Heroes

Brilliant game though it is an RTS so maybe not what you're looking for, still, can't go wrong at £2.50 per copy on Steam at the moment.

Outstanding game and for that price... a bargain.

Question, I bought CoH and OF Gold edition from the shop (i.e. CD) can I get the Tales of Valor on Steam and have it incorporate with my CD versions?
