Recommend a headset

sennheiser are top notch, propa good sound and mic is amazing, people will notice the difference wen u go on vent, not on TS of course cuz every1 sounds rubbish on TS cuz its duff

I've had Sennheiser headsets before, PC160 being one of them. They sound great and the mic is good quality BUT the ear cups don't cover your ears; instead they put pressure on them causing them to hurt after a while. I've noticed other customers have had the same problem with them. Also every headset I've had has broken pretty quickly (6-12 months), usually down to not very robust wiring.

I got a pair of Sennheiser HD595's now which are great headphones, far better than any pc headset I've had including Sennheiser's own. For the mic I'm just using the one on my webcam but u can purchase a seperate one quite cheaply.

I reckon the Sennheiser HD555's are probably the best in your price bracket.

Thirded.

A PROPER set of headphones like these will BLOW ANY "GAMING" Headset out of the water for quality.

Get the Logitech desktop mic and your good to go.

I use steelsound 5H v2. No complaints here

I'll fourth the HD555's. I have a set myself and they're great. I just pop an old labtec headset around my neck when I want to use a mic.

To me, the sound quality reaching my ears is far more important than sounding absolutely perfect over TS. As long as they can hear and understand me, I'm fine with that.
