Can anyone recommend a NAS for me? don't know that much about the various brands so here is what I would like to do:
1. access the NAS from 2 smart TV's and a WDTV Live media player
2. Have raid 5 for data protection
3. be able to create a personal cloud to be accessed over tinterweb
4. must have a good interface, don't like clunky interfaces
5. access data from 2 devices for storage

I will be using this over wired Gb network in my home, I have been looking at either the QNAP-TS412 or the Synology DS413 so your views would be appreciated.

I would recommend a Synology unit, either the DS413 or the slightly more expensive DS412+.

I personally went for the DS412+ and run 3 x 3TB WD red's in it with one extra hot spare standy outside the unit. I backup the data to a Lacie 3TB quadra v3 esata drive and it backed up 2TB of data in about 5hrs using esata.

Probably more expensive than the HP microserver options but then you don't get the hassle setting it up installing MS SBS.
