Recommend a PSU

Dang - that's a pricey PSU. But maybe it's worth taking the plunge and getting a PSU that will last a lot longer. Can you foresee graphics cards needing more than 1000W in a few years time?

i would have thought that energy demand for gfx cards would have plateaued

- graphics cards are getting more and more powerful so need more power to run them

- but the shrinking of the die's means energy use is more efficient

so i;d imagine that energy use will be around the same...

Well a few years ago when I bought my 460W psu, could I have not said the same thing? Am I missing something?

the demand for an PSU greater than 850W is so tiny that the companies have to sell them at higher prices to make money

i have found a couple at a lower price from reputable companies, but i would seriously go for the OCZ one simply because of it better efficiency (which will save you some money on the electricity bill)

hopefully those extra £££ will be paid back in electricity bill savings ^_^
